Brief description
Manage wholesale operations including quoting, work orders, ordering, pulling, and billing, while overseeing corporate installations by coordinating all related workflows, from quoting and packing to billing and supervising on-site installation teams to ensure successful project completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage phone and voicemail communications, respond to emails promptly, and provide professional customer service support
- Organize large projects into manageable tasks and coordinate team members to ensure timely completion
- Assist with training of staff to assist in Wholesale Operations
- Provide retail support and customer assistance as needed, ensuring a positive in-store experience
- Process account charges and collect payments accurately and efficiently
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving shipments, allocating items for planting, and conducting spot-check inventory updates to maintain accuracy
- Troubleshoot VMX system issues by identifying problems, implementing modifications, and ensuring smooth system functionality
Commercial Planting Operations:
- Prepare and deliver detailed quotes for commercial projects
- Generate work orders and packing lists to support efficient job execution
- Coordinate and perform commercial planting projects
- Manage billing and invoicing for completed jobs
Wholesale Operations:
- Communicate with wholesale clients via email and maintain strong professional relationships
- Prepare and follow up on wholesale quotes
- Source plant material and related products to meet customer needs
- Coordinate and submit wholesale orders accurately and on time
- Oversee and assist with pulling plant material for orders
- Coordinate and manage wholesale plant pickups
- Develop and update wholesale training materials
- Train staff on wholesale procedures and best practices
- Prepare and distribute weekly wholesale availability lists
- Manage and maintain the wholesale distribution contact list
- Monitor wholesale customer sales activity and track performance trends
Requirements and skills
- High school – Required
- Associates Degree - Preferred (Hort/Plant Science an asset)
- Computer skills and Microsoft/Google – Required
- Management – 1 year – Required
- Teksavvy
- Excellent oral/written communication
- Proficient in all Microsoft/Google programs
- Attention to detail
- Enjoy working with numbers
- Highly organized
- Time management
- Knowledge of plants
- Knowledge of basic business operations
