ON BEHALF OF NUCOR INSULATED PANEL GROUP

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for leading all shipping, receiving, trim parts production, and yard operations to ensure materials and finished goods flow safely, accurately, and efficiently through the facility. This role coordinates all truck shipments—including imports, exports, carrier scheduling, and customer deliveries—while ensuring trim parts are produced to specification and ready to meet production and customer requirements.

The Shipping Supervisor plays a key role in strengthening Nucor’s culture by championing safety, supporting teammate development, and driving continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility. Job duties include but are not limited to: Cultivate an atmosphere aligned with Nucor Culture that promotes ownership and drives continuous improvement. Establish expectations and identify best practices that achieve results through empowering the team. Serve as a resource to team building talent through fostering personal development and expanding technical knowledge.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3–5 years of shipping experience, including coordinating truck shipments for both imports and exports.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and shipping workflows; Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe material-handling practices and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused industrial setting with competing priorities.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or a related field
  • Experience in steel, construction products, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with lean practices, 5S, continuous improvement, and standard work.
  • Experience managing carrier relationships, export documents, and compliance requirements.
