Drive the test automation roadmap (what to automate, when, and why), and ensure maintainable frameworks/patterns
Coach and mentor QA team members; improve team throughput, quality signal, and consistency
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry quality standards and support audit-ready documentation
Provide clear reporting on quality metrics, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership
Continuously improve QA workflows in an Agile, short-cycle release environment

2+ years of experience leading QA work (team lead, senior QA ownership, or delivery lead for QA)
Financial services industry experience (mandatory)
Strong Agile testing background in short-cycle product releases
Hands-on experience testing complex financial products and workflows
Demonstrated ability in failure triage, root-cause analysis, and driving corrective actions with Engineering
Strong judgment on automation feasibility and ROI, with a track record of improving coverage and reliability
Experience working in TDD and/or BDD environments
Proficiency with JIRA and test management tools; strong documentation discipline
Hands-on experience with Cypress or similar web automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Katalon)
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills in a remote setting
Nice to Have

Experience coaching QA team members and building lightweight QA playbooks/process docs
Familiarity with CI/CD test integration and test reliability improvements
Salary Range:
CA$85,000 - CA$100,000 annually, 7-10% performance bonus, with final compensation determined by your qualifications, expertise, experience, and the role's scope.
