About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and faith-filled Catholic Faith Formation Leader to guide and support the spiritual and religious life of our school community. This role is central to ensuring that Catholic identity, values, and practices are integrated into all aspects of school life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and enrich the school's Catholic faith formation programs. This would include following the Christian Education Curriculum.
- Support the Principal in fostering and maintaining a strong Catholic ethos.
- Plan and facilitate liturgical celebrations, prayer services, retreats, and sacramental programs.
- Lead and deliver a high-quality Religious Education curriculum.
- Provide guidance and pastoral support to students and staff.
- Collaborate with parish personnel, clergy, and the wider faith community.
- Encourage active social justice and service initiatives.
- Promote student and staff leadership in faith activities.
Essential Requirements
- A committed and practicing Catholic who actively participates in the life of the Church.
- A sound understanding of Catholic theology, tradition, and contemporary Church teaching.
- Experience in leading or supporting faith formation in a school or parish context.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire, encourage, and lead others in faith.
- Relevant qualifications in Religious Education, Theology, Ministry, or a related field
Desirable Attributes
- Enjoy working with children of various (kindergarten to Grade 9)
- Experience working in a Catholic school setting.
- Skills in planning liturgies and coordinating sacramental programs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional learning community.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging young people in faith.
