About the role
This role will sit in the Advisory team at Validus, and will be responsible for:
- Working with clients to design and implement hedging strategies across various markets and asset classes (FX, rates, commodities, equities).
- Provide support to the Engagement manager
- Assist in analytical testing of solutions
- Assist associates in analyzing client information and preparing periodic performance reports.
- Developing relationships with a small number of high-value clients receiving the Validus retainer service including:
- Strategic consultancy services
- Innovative project work
- Pro-active client service
- Presentation of technology platform
- Identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with existing clients and assisting in the business development process.
- Keep up to date with academic, technical and industry developments
- Adhere to Financial Conduct Authority Rules and Regulations
- Adhere to all internal policies and procedures
Requirements
-
1-3 years professional experience, preferably within management consultancy, investment banking or Private Equity / Hedge Funds.

Relevant undergraduate degree

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with an extremely high attention to detail

Understanding of risk management in financial markets

Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Time management/ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.
