POSITION: Senior Network Administrator DEPARTMENT: Technology Services CONDITIONS: Full-time (Approximately 75.0 Bi-weekly Hours) SHIFTS: Days / On Call, 7.5 hours per shift (subject to change) WAGE RANGE: $49.40/hr (Minimum) to $59.88/hr (Maximum) CLOSING DATE: July 25, 2026 SUMMARY: The Senior Network Administrator ensures the stability and integrity of the in-house computer network, voice, data, video, and wireless network services, by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. This individual will also supervise or participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links, acting as an in-house expert and escalation point to analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems, providing guidance and support to Network Administrator I resources wherever possible.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and maintain all network hardware equipment, including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, access points, telephony components, UPS devices and all related components therein, while ensuring connectivity of all endpoint devices. Oversee deployment of new and existing hardware equipment, software upgrades and emergency security patches, while also ensuring the maintenance of support documentation therein. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery. Collaborate with external partners, executive management, and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs, and action requests to facilitate connectivity of new internal or external solutions. Design, deploy and maintain LANs, WANs, and networks hardware according to best practice related to segregation and segmentation, while leading, coordinating, and participating in key process improvements as they relate to networks, including network performance optimization and security best practices. Monitor network performance and investigate problem areas as needed, and provide network performance statistics and reports as required, including but not limited to security audits, bandwidth consumption, wireless availability, etc. Work with external vendors to obtain product information and quotes, and review and approve work done on behalf of QCH. Other duties as assigned Demonstrates QCH values: collaboration, accountability, innovation and respect REQUIREMENTS: University degree in Computer Science or in a related field and four (4) years experience in a related field; OR Two-year College diploma in Information Technology and six (6) years of experience in network technologies; OR In lieu of formal education, 10 years of experience in network administration CCNA/CCNP certification Superior knowledge and understanding of LAN, WAN, WLAN and WWAN design and implementation. Strong technical knowledge of Cisco switching, routing and security products including firewalls. Technical knowledge of telephony solutions such as Cisco VOIP. Troubleshooting experience. Significant experience with network capacity planning, network security principles and general network management best practices

PREFERRED: Master's degree in Computer Science 4+ years of experience as senior network administrator CCIE, Cisco Voice certifications This posting is for an existing position. Artificial Intelligence will not be used to screen, assess, or select applicants for this position.
