The Role
You'll provide high-level executive support to the Chief Development Officer and the fundraising leadership team; act as the operational custodian of how the team plans, meets, reports, and delivers; coordinate the team's day-to-day liaison with senior volunteers, ambassadors, and committees; and lead the production of polished proposals, presentations, and donor materials. You'll be the connective tissue that holds the team's operational rhythm together.

What you’ll do
Be the trusted right hand to the Chief Development Officer - managing complex schedules, briefings, and correspondence, and triaging confidential requests with discretion and judgement. Provide administrative support for the TSO Board and its committees — including the Development Committee and Nominations & Governance Committee - preparing materials, managing logistics, and tracking action items through to completion. Serve as the Development team's day-to-day liaison to the Toronto Symphony Volunteer Committee (TSVC), the Honorary Governors Circle, and the team's volunteer ambassadors - ensuring every volunteer experiences the TSO as a well-run, donor-centred organization. Run the Development team's planning rhythm, master calendar, and reporting cadence - keeping work coordinated across philanthropy, partnerships, individual giving and operations. Produce polished Development materials - proposals, decks, briefing notes, board reports, executive reports and stewardship materials. Lead special projects on behalf of the Chief Development Officer, from cross-functional initiatives to bespoke requests from the Executive Leadership Team.
What you’ll bring
5+ years in executive assistant, senior administrative, or development coordination roles, ideally within an arts, cultural, or other complex environment. Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives and boards — managing complex calendars, preparing high-quality briefing materials, and handling sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement. Strong project coordination skills and the discipline to keep a fast-moving team's processes, rhythms, and standards holding together. Sophisticated interpersonal and written communication skills, with the warmth and judgement to engage senior volunteers, donors, board members, and executive leadership with poise and professionalism. Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and design tools (Canva or equivalent), and experience with a fundraising CRM (Tessitura preferred; Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or similar with willingness to learn).

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $65,000–$75,000 CAD (commensurate with experience).Benefits: 100% company paid benefits including Telus-Health Employee Family Assistance program (provided after successful completion of the first three (3) months of employment); Company paid pension contributions provided after the completion of one year of employment; 3 weeks vacation prorated during the first year, complimentary tickets to TSO concerts and a hybrid work environment.
