Job description and duties

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a part-time Instructor in the Systems and Networking Diploma program as outlined below. Salary will be in accordance with the CUPE Instructor Scale: (range: $5,775.84 - $9,255.50 per section).

Duties: As an instructor, responsibilities will encompass facilitating student academic achievement, including course preparation, teaching, assessing student work, and providing constructive feedback, guidance, support and direction in the following course:

Winter 2026 Semester: January – April

  • ITAS 191: Introduction to Web Design (1 section)

Qualifications

A minimum of both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in the subject field or a related discipline along with teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate experience with experiential teaching formats.

Required attributes/experience includes:

  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based teaching with the ability to inspire and motivate learners
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for contemporary practices to promote and respect equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching, learning and professional contexts
  • Demonstrated excellence with intercultural competence, particularly in regards to local Indigenous communities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
