Reporting to the Leader, Business Performance, as the Recreation & Social Programs (R&SP) Fund Development and Revenue Agreements Coordinator (FDRAC), you will focus on leading a portfolio for R&SP comprised of Naming, Sponsorship, Funding and Revenue agreements. In this position, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive funding strategy, including Revenue Agreements, Sponsorship and Funding, to support the unprecedented scale of new facilities and programs coming online. You will also be responsible for securing funding from various sources and fostering a strong network though relationships with community partners, interested parties, and donors. Primary duties include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive funding strategies to support city assets, programs and initiatives.
  • Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, donations and sponsorship.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with funders, sponsors, donors, community partners and other key parties.
  • Prepare and present compelling funding and sponsorship proposals to potential funders and sponsors.
  • Negotiate funding and sponsorship agreements and ensure compliance with City policies and regulations.
  • Oversee the application process for grants and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
  • Procurement and management of contractors to support the naming, sponsorship, funding and revenue agreements portfolio.
  • Monitor and report on Sponsorship and Revenue agreement performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the corporation on corporate initiatives and manage high priority initiatives on behalf of the business unit.

Qualifications

  • A degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field and at least 7 years of experience in relationship building and, partnership development.
  • Experience in strategy development, identifying sources, proposal development, negotiation, contractor and vendor management and reporting is required.
  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and power point) is required.
  • Certifications such as Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) or Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) is an asset.
  • Success in this position requires written and verbal communication, listening, organizational and time management skills, the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Compensation: Pay Grade 11$44.76 - 59.84 per hour

Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day

work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
