About the role
RED Mountain Resort Snow School is now hiring for the a Front Desk Agent for the 2025/26 Winter Season! This position oversees the front end sales desk of the Snow School. You will be responsible for selling all Snow School products to walk in customers, phone reservations and internet enquiries. You must be knowledgeable about all snow school products and assist clients in choosing the best product.
MAJOR RESPONSBILITIES
- Customer Service
- Excellent listening, communicating and selling skills
- Provide personal attention and product suggestions
- Product Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of all Snow School products: lessons, specialty programs, clubs and camps
- Promote, market and up-sell products
- Be familiar with all resort products, services and offerings
- Follow Sales Desk Operating Manual
- Staff Relations
- Open and regular communications with Director, Assistant Director, instructors, Lead Hands, ticket office and accounting
- Liaison between customers and instructors/supervisors: customer comments, customer requests, notes/tips to instructors
- Regular communication and training between sales staff
- Familiar with instructing staff levels and abilities
- Awareness of event registration/special events held
- Computer and Phone Skills
- Operate Paradocs booking systems
- Phone and computer bookings and enquiries
- Proficient working knowledge of Word, Excel, Gmail
- Cash Reconciliation
- Accurate daily cash outs and trouble shooting
- Reconcile invoices, Central Reservation bookings, school groups
- Sales
- Ability to run a fast paced sales desk and environment Organize files, bookings, phone messages, notes and reminders
KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education
High school diploma
Experience
- Experience working in a sales or front desk capacity
- Cash handling experience
- Experience working in a snow school an asset
Physical and Other Requirements
- Endure long days sitting at the sales desk
- Sustain high energy throughout the day
- Move around furniture and chop wood/kindling
- Professional appearance, wearing staff uniform and identification
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to customize products for clients needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer Skills: ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet for the purposes of sales and marketing, industry research, email bookings, online reservations
