Senior Designer
Company: Branded Cities Canada Location: Toronto, Hybrid (3 days/week in office minimum) Compensation: 70-80K plus up to 7.5K bonus contingent on performance
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Designer with true mastery of the craft, someone who has spent years at the agency level producing work that is sharp, considered, and consistently excellent. You bring big ideas to life across print, digital, presentation, and video, and you do it with the polish and speed that senior work demands. This role is equal parts creator and collaborator. You will lead design projects from concept through delivery, present your work directly to clients and stakeholders, and help raise the bar for the designers around you.
What You’ll Do
Lead Design Projects – Own creative work from brief to final delivery, setting the visual direction and seeing every detail through. Design Across Mediums – Create presentations, marketing collateral, brand assets, and digital content that are as effective as they are beautiful. Edit and Elevate Video – Cut, edit, and polish video content for presentations, social channels, and campaigns. Face the Client – Present concepts with confidence, take feedback in stride, and translate client input into stronger work. Mentor and Guide – Collaborate with and support junior designers, sharing feedback and best practices that lift the whole team. Collaborate Like a Pro – Partner with marketing, sales, and leadership to ensure your work is on point, on brand, and on strategy.
What You Bring
6+ years of design experience at an agency level, with a track record of high-caliber work for demanding clients. Mastery of graphic design—typography, layout, colour, and composition are second nature to you. Strong client-facing skills: you present with confidence, listen well, and build trust with stakeholders. Video editing experience, with fluency in tools like Premiere Pro and After Effects. Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite and presentation software (PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides). Experience in a senior role collaborating with and mentoring junior designers (preferred). Deadline discipline with the ability to juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball.
What Success Looks Like
Resourceful & Proactive – You don’t wait for answers; you find them, whether that means sourcing assets, chasing down specs, or solving a problem before anyone asks. Seamless Collaboration – You’re just as comfortable brainstorming with internal teams as you are presenting to a major client. Adaptability on Demand – Priorities shift, timelines get tighter, and briefs change—yet you pivot effortlessly without compromising quality. A Steady Senior Presence – Junior designers come to you for direction and feedback, and your input makes their work better. Client-Centric Mindset – You understand that every design you create is ultimately in service of the client and their goals. Flawless Execution – You sweat the details because you know every pixel, every crop, every spec matters.
Bonus Points
Experience designing for Out-of-Home, large-format imagery, or environmental media. Motion graphics and animation skills beyond standard video editing. Experience working with third-party vendors, agencies, and contractors.
Why You’ll Love It Here
You’ll work in one of the most creative corners of advertising. Your work will shape how some of the biggest brands in Canada show up in the world. Competitive pay, benefits, and a team that loves bold ideas. Every project you create will have the potential to win business—and maybe even awards.
Branded Cities is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse, inclusive team, and we welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
We are also committed to a fully accessible recruitment process. In accordance with the AODA and the Ontario Human Rights Code, accommodations are available on request for candidates at any stage of the selection process. If you require accommodation at any point, please let us know and we will work with you to meet your needs in a way that respects your privacy and dignity.
