What to expect:
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for the accurate, timely, and confidential processing and approval of employee expense reports, including related reclassifications and accruals. This role also supports accounts receivable activities, such as customer portal setup, documentation requests, and other AR-related tasks. The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting internal compliance with company policies and procedures.
This includes:
Accounts Payable
- Review and approve Concur expense reports in accordance with Finance Chart of Accounts and company policies.
- Import and post Concur expense batches into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and resolving any import errors promptly.
- Validate receipts and supporting documentation using AppZen.
- Prepare and post month-end accruals related to employee expenses.
Accounts Receivable
- Set up new customers in external portals and upload invoices.
- Complete customer documentation requests for EFT setup or vendor registration.
- Process credit card payment requests.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries from the AR inbox, including requests for customer statements, W-9s, and W-8 forms.
Other duties as assigned
- Coordinate and respond to Certificate of Insurance requests.
- Support team continuity by providing cross-trained backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions during team member absences, including vacation coverage.
- Perform additional administrative and accounting tasks as assigned to support Finance operations.
- Support special projects or initiatives as required.
In this position, you will report to the Finance Supervisor and will work out of their home office, travel will be required from time to time. CWB has adopted a remote-first working model, where employees will work from their home office, servicing the client within their specified areas either remotely or in person. We are embracing radical flexibility, where employees are encouraged to work a schedule that works best for them, their team, and their clients.
What you bring to the table:
- Accounting Diploma and 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks accurately and on time.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable to change.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- This is a remote, work from home position
- Travel might be required from time to time
The following qualifications are considered assets:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience with not-for-profit organizations.
- Experience with MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Workday Adaptive Planning, and Office Connect.
- Proficiency in intermediate-level Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, lookups).
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting standards and not-for-profit accounting practices.
