Job Description
A Day in the Life:
FOREST NURSERY WORKER
We are currently seeking to fill an existing vacancy on our team.
PRT Armstrong is looking for seasonal Forest Nursery Workers to help with our upcoming tree seedling work starting as early as April to assist with many different aspects of nursery responsibilities. If you want a physical, fast-paced outdoor job that makes a positive environmental impact, this is for you! Candidates should have a desire and keenness to learn about the forest seedling nursery activities, work independently and efficiently. No specific work experience is needed –we'll provide full training.
Your Role & What You'll Do
You'll work as part of a supportive team under the guidance of a Nursery Manager. Your main duties will involve:
- Supporting tree seedling production in greenhouses and outdoor areas.
- Learning about forest nursery activities.
- Working independently and efficiently.
- Committing to quality and safety in a safe work environment.
**Please note, this role is not eligible for relocation or accommodation support.

What YOU bring to the table
-Reliable transportationto get to the PRT Armstrong site daily
- Interested in and able to work in all types ofoutdoor environmental conditions.
- Ability tostand for long periodsand perform repetitive tasks throughout an 8-hour work shift.
- Ability to lift andcarry up to 50lbsrepeatedly through the entire shift.
- Appropriate work attire.
- Goodmanual dexterityand eyesight.
- A team-oriented personality with a positive attitude.
- A desire to learn and contribute to forest regeneration.
Start Date: April 2026
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary information:$ 18.37/HOUR and transitioning to piecework with greater earning potential
