Hours: Continental Nights - 2100-0900
Pay Rate: $23.35/Hr
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is AA (Averaging Agreement) (88 Hours)

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional, proactive customer service to tenants, guests, and the public.
- Conduct visible foot, vehicle, or bicycle patrols, engaging positively with those onsite.
- Provide directions and support at lobbies, directory boards, and throughout the site.
- Collaborate with Guest Services and Tenant Services teams to enhance visitor experience.
- Remain informed of site events and activities, assisting guests accordingly.
- Maintain site security and enforce Property rules in a fair and professional manner.
- Respond to safety concerns, incidents, and emergencies including medical calls (CPR, First Aid, AED).
- Assist law enforcement and emergency responders during investigations and interventions.
- Handle trespassing, unauthorized access, and other infractions respectfully and safely.
- Monitor site activity, document reports accurately, and identify hazards for correction.
- Oversee and coordinate guard team during night shifts.
- Support training, performance monitoring, and scheduling.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and reporting standards.
- Act as primary point of contact for escalations and onsite incidents during assigned hours.
- Promote and support the Joint Health & Safety Committee’s objectives.
- Identify and report safety hazards and take part in safety initiatives.
- Assist with power-saving practices (e.g., shutting off lights, securing doors).
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Covid Vaccine two doses
- Valid G class Driver License
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
