Food and Beverage Working Supervisor

Job Description

This is a supervisory position where you will lead by example while serving and overseeing the shift to ensure smooth operations and an exceptional guest experience. Your role includes managing shift coverage, overseeing beverage inventory, and implementing operational improvements to enhance efficiency. A passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction is essential, as you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support daily shift operations to ensure seamless service.
  • Adjust staffing levels as necessary based on business demand.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the F&B department's success.
  • Assist in training new team members, fostering a culture of hospitality and service excellence.
  • Uphold and enhance service standards to ensure guests feel valued and cared for.
  • Engage with guests proactively, professionally addressing any concerns and focusing on guest recovery.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and financial accountability.
  • Manage reservation bookings to optimize the guest experience.
  • Assist with setting up and cleaning special events, ensuring an inviting atmosphere.
  • Work towards achieving budgeted labor, costs, and revenue goals while maintaining service quality.
  • Suggest and implement hospitality-driven service improvements to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the POS system, assisting with updates and troubleshooting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • A commitment to hospitality excellence, ensuring every guest has a positive experience.
  • Previous restaurant supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive and professional environment.
  • Strong time management and accountability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Server and bartender experience is required.

Conditions of Employment:

Ability to bend, lift, stoop, stand, and walk frequently throughout the shift. Some heavy lifting and carrying may be necessary. Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures. Must possess a valid Serving It Right certificate. Flexible availability is required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must successfully apply for and obtain a BC Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) license to work in the casino.
