Job Summary The Senior Director of Global Treasury, reporting to the EVP, Global Finance & Technology, oversees the treasury management across all entities within the Apotex Group of Companies globally. Serving in a leadership position, this role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Apotex credit agreement on an on going basis. This role is accountable for the preparation, monitoring, management, and control of treasury activities throughout the global organization, including cashflow projections and variance reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the Global Treasury department within Corporate Finance.
- Ensure treasury activities are in compliance with treasury policies, corporate governance policies, and internal controls.
- Understand the terms and conditions included within the Global Apotex credit agreement, to ensure ongoing compliance and all reporting obligations are met. This includes preparing or collecting, reviewing, and presenting cashflow and financial reporting in order to satisfy the requirements of the agreement.
- Produce required covenant calculations and associated documents for financial reporting purposes, and anticipate Apotex performance in future quarters against required benchmarks
- Lead the execution of the monthly reporting on Debt and Liquidity positions. This includes forecast covenant compliance for both current and upcoming quarters, highlighting any potential compliance issues, as well available liquidity by jurisdiction, and other reporting on intercompany transactions and movements in balances.
- Develop and maintain detailed cash management report, dashboard and cash flow monitoring tools at both an entity and a consolidated level.
- Oversee day to day banking activity within Apotex Inc, managing relationships with the bank, and ensuring adequate internal controls are in place, safeguarding Apotex assets.
- Oversee daily cash flow positions and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
- Ensure daily compliance with policies and procedures, providing quality services to both internal and external customers, obtaining as a result that the operation and information is updated, protected and complies with the controls for the benefit of the company.
- Develop and implement effective cash forecast modelling at both an entity and a consolidated level.
- Work with the budgeting team to ensure alignment of the cashflow projection reporting with the latest budget and/or forecasting models.
- Work with the Financial Reporting teams across the organization to ensure accuracy of all associated postings in respect of treasury.
- Provide leadership and direction to the affiliates to ensure timely and accurate reporting on an ongoing basis.
- Participate and lead performance conversations with employees, including monthly one on ones, to connect on performance; check in on employee’s progress toward achieving Objectives, offer support and remove barriers; and, communicate and revisit performance expectations to reinforce and encourage high performance culture and a safe working environment for all employees.
- Utilize open, honest, two way communication to build trust-based relationships with employees, business partners and direct leader while continuously improving leadership capabilities by personally seeking feedback and development.
