Joining Alliance Truss Ltd, you will be responsible for safely loading/unloading
materials, optimizing yard layout, verifying shipments, collaborating across departments, maintaining a clean and safe environment, monitoring inventory, implementing process improvements, and supporting training initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trusses and building materials onto trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Accurately pick materials and manage the yard layout to enhance order organization.
- Conduct thorough verification of all loads before departure for completeness and accuracy.
- Actively coordinate with Operations, Production, and Administration teams to foster effective communication.
- Uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness within the work environment, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Keep track of inventory levels, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to management for timely replenishment.
- Identify and recommend process improvements in loading, unloading, and yard organization.
Qualifications
- One year of Forklift experience is an asset
- General shipping and receiving experience are an asset.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons
- Dependable, organized and able to multitask.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and regulatory requirements.
- Open to training and adopting new practices for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
