About the role

This position focuses on risk mitigation and protection of Casino assets and people, by supervising Security department staff and activities.

Monitoring Security operations and communicating policies, procedures and standards to staff. Modeling, encouraging and coaching staff in a high standard of guest relations and professionalism. Assisting the Asset Protection Manager with staffing and performance management. Creating, distributing and revising staff schedules to meet operational needs and control costs. Carrying out a wide variety of administrative tasks as directed by the Asset Protection Manager. Fulfilling duties of a Security Officer as required. Handling other related tasks as required, to provide a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.

Successful completion of Grade 12 or GED or a combination of relevant education, training and/or experience. Successful completion of First Aid, AED and CPR Level C is required. Experience in security department. Experience writing accurate and complete reports, logs, and other documentation on all activities within the facility. Experience assisting recruitment, training and coaching of staff while in a supervisory role. Experience with de-escalating tense and potentially violent situations.
