ServiceNow Architect
Model: Remote | Location: Canada

The ServiceNow Architect is a key member of the ServiceNow delivery team and is responsible for the overall platform design and for mapping client business requirements to system/technical requirements. This role is accountable for the architecture, design, implementation, and overall integrity of the ServiceNow platform within the organization.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the implementation of Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management, as well as serve as the primary technical resource for requirements related to all other processes on the ServiceNow platform.

  • Responsible for the design, development, configuration, and implementation of the ServiceNow platform.

  • Code and develop custom patterns, probes, and sensors for Discovery and Service Mapping.

  • Conduct technical workshops with clients on ITOM areas: Event Management, Discovery, CMDB, Orchestration, Service Mapping, and Cloud Management.

  • Build manual business service maps with relationships and dependencies.

  • Write Orchestration/Integration Hub workflows.

  • Provide mentorship, leadership, and project oversight for the ITOM practice.

  • Be responsible for internal artifacts and deliverables, ensuring they meet solution requirements.

  • Work directly with product owners, scrum masters, and client solution architects, including presenting design and development work to the broader project team.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams; participate in and lead design and architecture reviews.

  • Build integrations using infrastructure platform APIs via SOAP and/or REST APIs.

  • Approve technical specifications, documents, architecture diagrams, documentation, and system manuals.

  • Approve update set promotions to production.

  • Participate in pre-sales activities related to the ITOM practice, including estimating and scoping projects.

What we need to see from you

What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in an IT-related field OR a minimum of 7 years of equivalent/relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a lead developer/technical architect in ServiceNow consulting and ITOM.
  • Experience with end-to-end implementations of Discovery, Event Management, and Service Mapping.
  • Experience conducting assessments of Discovery, Event Management, and Service Mapping, with the ability to share best practices with clients.
  • Experience with identification and reconciliation mechanisms.
  • Understanding of Discovery scheduling and its potential network impacts.
  • Experience creating Configuration Item (CI) blueprints.
  • Experience configuring the CMDB Health Dashboard, performing CMDB remediation, including handling duplicate or obsolete items.
  • Understanding of platform security and integration best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of import sets and transform maps, working with external data sources and data mapping in ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of the ServiceNow CMDB class hierarchy, including its relationship to Asset and Configuration Management.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Angular, HTML/CSS, and Jelly.
  • Foundational knowledge of the Common Services Data Model (CSDM).
  • A positive promoter of workplace culture with a “can-do” attitude.

  • Availability to travel (up to 15%) and adapt to different office environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional ServiceNow platform products (one or more among ITSM, ITBM, and/or ITAM).
  • Preferred certifications: CMA, CTA, CIS-Discovery, CIS-Service Mapping, CIS-Event Management.
