About the role
We are looking for a Financial Information Certification (FIC) Analyst SOX, Finance to benefit from good visibility among several of the organization’s departments and divisions. You will have the opportunity to discover, acquire and apply skills and knowledge concerning the accounting cycle and financial reporting activities of a publicly traded company while working with different global finance teams to improve the quality of financial information
YOUR FIRST-YEAR DELIVERABLES
- Integrate yourself into your department and role while developing trusting relationships with different stakeholders
- Assume responsibility for some of the organization’s operating cycles, identifying areas of risk at different stages of financial information preparation and working with different teams to find creative, effective solutions to such risks
- Familiarize yourself with the requirements pertaining to Regulation to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and internal control documentation methods.
You'll Have The Opportunity To
- Review and document business processes (via flowchart, narratives);
- Identify, define and evaluate existing internal controls in order to meet certification objectives
- Proactively identify issues presenting a risk to the certification of financial information
- Coordinate control testing in each of our divisions
- Support each division’s Financial Information Certification teams
- Participate in the continuous improvement of processes with managers from the finance function and other functions
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance
- Have or be in the process of obtaining an accounting certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
- Mandatory bilingualism, written and spoken (English/French)
- Attention to detail; excellent analysis and synthesis skills
- Self-sufficiency and initiative
- Strong priority management and multitasking skills
- Passion and curiosity with respect to BRP products, customers and markets
