About the role

About the Role ProofOfID is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth by generating new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and closing enterprise sales. This role is responsible for developing a strong sales pipeline, identifying qualified prospects, and positioning ProofOfID's patented digital identity platform as the preferred solution for secure identity verification and information sharing. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership to expand our presence across key markets, including financial services, telecommunications, government, healthcare, insurance, education, and other organizations seeking secure, privacy-first digital identity solutions.

Key Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking. Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools and established sales processes. Conduct discovery meetings, product demonstrations, and customer presentations. Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and successfully close new business opportunities. Build relationships with executive decision-makers, including CIOs, CISOs, Chief Risk Officers, Compliance Leaders, and Procurement teams. Develop strategic partnerships with technology partners, resellers, and system integrators. Represent ProofOfID at industry conferences, networking events, and customer meetings. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements to identify new growth opportunities. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support lead generation and customer engagement initiatives. Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets, revenue objectives, and key performance indicators.

Qualifications & Success Profile Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of five years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, business development, or SaaS/software sales. Proven success in generating leads, managing complex sales cycles, and closing enterprise accounts. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Experience using CRM platforms and managing sales pipelines. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience Experience selling cybersecurity, digital identity, fraud prevention, fintech, RegTech, or enterprise software solutions. Knowledge of identity verification, digital onboarding, KYC/AML, privacy regulations, or cybersecurity is an asset. What Success Looks Like Consistently generating qualified leads and enterprise opportunities. Meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales targets. Expanding ProofOfID's customer base and strategic partnerships. Building long-term customer relationships that contribute to recurring revenue and company growth.
