We are currently seeking a Development Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships to join our Development team. Under the direction of the Manager, Corporate Partnerships, the incumbent will provide support to corporate revenue generation activity within the Division. Activity in this portfolio includes: assisting with proposal and solicitation materials, coordinating the execution of partnership activations, events and other deliverables as contractually committed; collecting materials related to partnerships for comprehensive partnership program audits and reports; coordinating sponsor related updates to website content; drafting correspondence; processing and tracking payments; preparing invoices and tracking expenses; maintaining records of prospects, sponsors, Corporate Members and in-kind donors in the Development database; preparing reports; and coordinating committee activities.
As a member of the Development team, this role contributes to realizing the AGO’s mission and our vision to lead global conversations from Toronto through extraordinary collections, exhibitions and programs and by reflecting the people who live here. The AGO is also taking steps to build our capacity to actively work on addressing issues of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility in our galleries, programming and workplace. We have embedded diversity and inclusion into our strategic plan and ongoing priorities and all AGO staff contributions are key to achieving these goals.
The rate of pay for this position is $48,230 - $60,296 per annum.
What is this position responsible for?
Prospecting, Solicitation and Tracking
- Participates in prospect brainstorms and assist in prospect research.
- Supports sponsor solicitation and sales by developing proposals and other pitch materials and correspondence.
- Provides prospect identification and tracking support. This includes data entry and management using Tessitura. Tasks include updating records, entering and tracking proposals, entering pledges, submitting payments and pulling reports.
- Participates in ongoing training related to the database and other programs as required.
Sponsor Servicing and Stewardship
- Coordinates tracks and executes sponsor benefits as contractually obligated.
- Acts as the AGO day to day contact with corporate partners, liaising with the Associate, Corporate Partnerships, the Manager, Corporate Partnerships and Director, Corporate Partnerships This includes the planning and implementation of sponsor promotions, activations and events, as well as logo approvals, as assigned.
- Works with various departments in the Gallery such as marketing and communications to compile the information required to develop final project reports for corporate sponsors.
Corporate Membership Program
- Assists with the preparation of renewal, solicitation and thank you letters.
- Coordinates the delivery of specific membership benefits including tax receipts and membership cards.
- Under the direction of the Director, coordinates Corporate Working Committee activities such as scheduling and organization of meetings, preparing agendas, minutes and other meeting materials, and coordinating follow up actions. Maintains up to date committee contact lists.
Administration
- Provides general administrative support to the corporate team, such as follow-up on action items, document preparation (e.g. contracts and letters of agreement), assistance with coordination of special mailings, sending of courier packages, photocopying, filing, etc.
- Performs duties in accordance with department systems and procedures and AGO’s policies and procedures including security, administration, human resources and workplace health and safety.
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of 2 years directly related experience, preferably in a development department/corporate sponsorship environment
- Experience in creating and executing corporate partnership events, marketing campaigns and promotions
- Well developed administrative, analytical, organizational, time management skills
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding and commitment to sponsor and donor servicing
- Well-developed interpersonal and public relations skills to interface with senior corporate personnel, AGO staff, trustees, donors and volunteers
- Demonstrated experience in applicable computer programs and donor databases and systems
- Experience and/or knowledge of the visual arts
