Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and scorecards. Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders. Develop and maintain data models, datasets, and data visualization solutions. Create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities. Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy. Integrate Power BI with various data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, APIs, Azure, and cloud platforms. Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance best practices. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users. Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide user support and training.

Maintain documentation for reports, data models, and BI processes

Technical Skills Microsoft Power BI (Desktop, Service, Mobile) Power Query (M Language) DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Data Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) SQL (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Joins, CTEs) ETL/ELT processes and data integration Data Warehousing concepts Microsoft SQL Server Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric) SSIS, SSRS, SSAS (preferred) Power BI Gateway configuration and management Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) Power BI Deployment Pipelines and Workspace Management Performance optimization and report tuning REST APIs and data connectivity Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot, Power Query) Version control using Git or Azure DevOps Data Governance and Security Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Basic scripting knowledge in Python or R (optional) Knowledge of CI/CD for Power BI deployments (preferred)
