Aneurin Bevan Health Board are looking for an Assistant Head of Service that will lead the operational component of the Directly Supported Practices.
We are seeking a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. We would welcome you to the multidisciplinary team of GPs, Nurse Practitioners, mental health practitioners, pharmacists and non-clinical staff within supportive and progressive teams.
Aneurin Bevan Health board is facing changes in light of the Six Goals for Urgent and Emergency Care and there will be more integrated working across the Health board. This is an exciting time to be joining the Directly Supported Practices. This role will provide key managerial development support within the service.

- The post holder is a key member of the management team and will provide expertise and deputise for the Head of Service.
- Provide expertise and manage practices within the directorate to ensure services are delivered effectively and efficiently in line with GMS contractual requirements, divisional strategic and operational objectives and policy.
The post holder will take a lead in managing, planning and facilitating programmes of work within the directorate and leading on specific projects to support the Clinical Directors and Head of Service. The post holder will lead on a range of programmes addressing service quality and operational effectiveness. This responsibility will include a requirement to ensure that all resources used efficiently and effectively to provide these services.
