About the role
Venor is proud to partner with Tartan Interiors in their search for a Site Supervisor to join their team based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. With a strong reputation for delivering quality craftsmanship and innovative solutions, Tartan Interiors is a trusted leader in the interior contracting industry. Their team is dedicated to providing exceptional service to clients while fostering a culture of professionalism, safety, and collaboration.
Are you a Red Seal Carpenter or experienced construction leader ready to take the next step in your career? This is your opportunity to lead from the front — overseeing day-to-day site operations, mentoring crews, and driving projects to success.
As Site Supervisor, you’ll play a hands-on role in ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems on the ground, and lead by example — all while working with one of Nova Scotia’s most respected and well-established construction companies.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and supervising site crews to ensure productivity, efficiency, and quality workmanship.
- Reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Performing layout duties to support project execution.
- Maintaining strict adherence to health and safety standards and documentation requirements.
- Coordinating with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
- Utilizing Procore (or equivalent project management software) to manage documentation, schedules, and progress tracking.
- Fostering a collaborative, respectful, and safety-first work environment.
What we are looking for
- Red Seal Carpenter designation or equivalent training/experience.
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Strong proficiency with layout duties and site documentation.
- Experience with Procore or similar construction/project management software.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Better Supervision Training certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Flexibility and willingness to work throughout mainland Nova Scotia.
Ready to lead with purpose and take your career to the next level and bring your experience to a company that values your leadership on the job site. Please contact Rose MacAuley via rose@venor.ca.
