About the role
St. Albert Public Schools is currently seeking a Grade 5/6 Logos Teacher to join the team at Joseph M Demko School.
The Logos Christian Program offers a Bible-based, Christian context to the Alberta curriculum. A Christian viewpoint to issues and topics from all curriculum areas is provided and links are made between the concepts being taught and the Bible teachings on that concept. Logos is enriched by activities such as praying together, memorizing scripture verses, reading the Bible, celebrating Christian holidays and participating in praise services. Logos is designed to reinforce those principles, beliefs and values our students learn at home.
FTE: 0.93 FTE; Probationary
Responsibilities:
- Teaching a Grade 5/6 class in the Logos program
Qualifications and Attributes:
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Excellent interpersonal skills and works well as a team player
- Elementary school teaching experience is an asset
- Commitment to a positive school culture & building community
