About the role
As the Supervisor, Design and Engineering, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervising the daily activities of telecom design staff. You will provide direct supervision, technical guidance, and ensures the timely delivery of high-quality design packages, supports team development, and drives continuous improvement in design processes. The Supervisor sets priorities, monitors output and ensures work is completed to established standards and timelines. The Supervisor applies in-depth technical knowledge and leadership skills to solve complex problems, improve service delivery, and support cross-functional collaboration across Ledcor’s telecom programs. Essential Responsibilities: Supervise, coach and guide a team of designers in daily activities, setting priorities, and ensuring completion of assigned tasks Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth through mentorship and ongoing feedback Monitor and allocate resources to balance workload and meet project deadlines Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and safety protocols within design practices Review, validate, and approve design packages for accuracy, compliance with standards, and constructability Implement and lead quality control measures and reinforce adherence to design guidelines, codes, and client requirements Align and oversee design deliverables with construction schedules and proactively resolve design-related issues Collaborate with PMO, field operations, engineering, and external partners to ensure seamless project execution Identify, recommend and implement inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve design workflows, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy Provide regular updates to leadership on team performance and project status, risks and resource requirements Qualifications: 5+ years in the telecommunications, engineering or construction industries 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity Proficiency in designing fiber optic networks, including understanding of architecture, routing, and constructability Experience in design and/or construction of telecommunication network infrastructure Ability to create, review, and modify design drawings using AutoCAD and geographic information systems Knowledge of municipal, utility, and industry standards for telecom infrastructure, including permitting and joint-use requirements Experience aligning design deliverables with construction schedules and managing design timelines Familiarity with QA processes, as-built documentation, and design package validation Work Conditions: This is a hybrid position where you will be required to be in-office multiple times per week Compensation $86,400.00 - $118,800.00 This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
