About the role
Blue Water Wash provides industrial cleaning for livestock trucks and trailers as well as custom washing of RVs, farm equipment and heavy machinery.
We are looking for an experienced leader to join our team at Blue Water Wash in the role of Lead Hand on our Weekend Shift.
Hours:
- Friday -10am-10pm
- Saturday - 7am-7pm
- Sunday - 11am-11pm
Work 36 hours a week, but get paid for 40 hours!
Responsibilities include:
- Working with Management & other Leaders to provide Leadership of the shift
- Excellent Oral & Written communication skills
- Communicate with Dispatch
- Take bookings from outside customers
- Hold daily shift safety meetings
- Washing trailers as required
- Building a positive team environment
- Ensuring trailer washes meet specifications
- Ensuring SOP’s are followed
- Providing excellent customer service by phone and in person
- Completion of paperwork
- Movement of Livestock Trailer with Yard Truck or Customer Semi’s
- Light duty repairs & maintenance at facility
- Maximize efficiencies on the shift
Skills & Experience:
- Previous Lead hand or supervisor experience
- Detail orientated & Strong organizational skills
- Maintenance experience
- Good written & oral communication skills
About Steve's Livestock Transport
Founded in 1987 as a one-man operation, Steve's Livestock Transport has since grown to become North America's largest commercial livestock transportation company. Over the last 25 years, we have expanded to include a dry freight division. We have three locations to serve our customers, in Blumenort and Brandon, Manitoba and Acme, Alberta.
We have a fleet of 130 power units, transporting more than 2,500 cattle and 150,000 pigs per week within Canada and the United States. All 3 of our locations have commercial washing and repair facilities for trucks and trailers. In addition to servicing our own units, these facilities provide custom washing and repairs for other large equipment and fleets as well.
