About the role
Join an exciting project to capture and craft dynamic social media video reels during a team photography day in Toronto. This role is ideal for a creative videographer with a keen eye for storytelling and a passion for producing visually engaging content. You will be responsible for shooting behind-the-scenes footage, candid team moments, short interviews, and vibrant city scenes in the University of Toronto area, including Yorkville and the Park Hyatt hotel. The final deliverables will showcase a modern, design-forward brand with authenticity and personality, optimized for platforms like Instagram and YouTube. The project requires on-site presence with a hybrid approach and availability on Thursday, November 13, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality video footage of team activities, interviews, and candid moments throughout the photography day
- Film creative city scenes and environmental shots in and around the University of Toronto, Yorkville, and Park Hyatt hotel
- Edit and deliver 5–7 short-form video reels (15–60 seconds each) tailored for Instagram and YouTube
- Provide all raw video footage for potential future edits
- Ensure content aligns with a modern, design-forward brand aesthetic
- Offer light creative direction and adapt quickly to spontaneous moments
- Collaborate with the team to highlight brand personality and authenticity
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience in videography and video editing, especially for branded content, editorial, lifestyle, or fashion campaigns
- Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form social media content (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
- Proficiency with professional video equipment and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Ability to work on-site in Toronto on the specified date and adapt to a hybrid workflow
- Excellent visual storytelling skills and creative problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams
- Ability to deliver high-quality, polished content under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices for video optimization
