We're hiring an Events & Marketing Coordinato r to design and deliver experiences that showcase innovation, build community, and connect startups with the people and opportunities that help them succeed. From pitch competitions and workshops to panel discussions, networking sessions, and founder meetups, you'll shape how Genesis shows up across Newfoundland and Labrador's tech ecosystem.
What You'll Do Create experiences that connect and inspire
- Plan and deliver in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including pitch competitions, workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions.
- Manage logistics from start to finish, including venues, vendors, catering, AV, and on-site coordination.
- Organize smaller gatherings such as founder meetups, lunch and learns, and socials that strengthen relationships and foster collaboration.
- Build invitation lists, manage registrations, and coordinate attendee communications.
Amplify their impact
- Capture and create engaging content from events, including short-form video for social media.
- Support promotion through newsletters, blogs, website updates, and digital campaigns.
- Schedule posts, coordinate assets, and track engagement to help shape future programming and communications.
Support a vibrant and inclusive community
- Ensure every event reflects Genesis' commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and belonging.
- Maintain accurate participation records to measure success and inform future planning.
What You Bring
- 2-3 years of experience planning and delivering events, with strong skills in logistics and coordination.
- Proven ability to create digital content, including short-form video for social media.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
- A creative approach to building experiences and content that connect people and ideas.
- Confidence using platforms such as Eventbrite, Canva, Zoom, Google Workspace, and social media scheduling tools.
- Strong understanding of how to engage and grow audiences online.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and the startup community.
