About the Role
We’re looking for an Assistant Production Manager to support daily production operations, ensuring targets are met while maintaining the highest standards in food safety, quality, and efficiency. This role provides leadership across shifts and supports after-hours operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support and oversee production activities across shifts
- Drive performance against KPIs, productivity, and cost targets
- Lead, coach, and support Production Leads and teams
- Act as escalation point for production issues and ensure timely resolution
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, safety, and regulatory standards
- Partner with QA on food safety, audits, and corrective actions
- Analyze production data and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
What You Bring
- 5+ years in food manufacturing; 2–3 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, WHMIS, and Lean principles
- ERP experience and post-secondary education are assets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
