Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Guard! Location: Wabasca-Desmarais, AB

Schedule: Full Time — 12-hour shifts, including nights

Pay Rate: $26.01/hour

We're currently hiring a Full Time Security Guard for our client site in Wabasca-Desmarais . If you are professional, reliable, and ready to make a difference, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Apply sound decision-making and strong communication skills in all duties.
• Ensure all Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed.
• Follow site-specific Post Orders and attend required training.
• Receive direction from Site Supervisors and Client Service Managers.
• Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points.
• Patrol assigned areas (on foot or in vehicle) to ensure building, equipment, and personnel safety.
• Monitor the environment for safety hazards and infractions.
• Report irregularities such as breaches, hazards, and emergencies.
• Provide assistance to individuals as needed.
• Contact emergency responders when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information.
• Respond to inquiries appropriately and professionally.
• Use two-way radios and computer applications.
• Act with professionalism, integrity, and a strong focus on workplace safety.
• Support, motivate, and inspire co-workers to uphold Paladin standards

Requirements

• Must be within 30 minutes of Wabasca
• Must be able to work night shift
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts
• Availability for a variety of shifts including weekends
• Ability to obtain Alberta Security License
• Valid Class 5 driver's license & personal vehicle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to write detailed reports and maintain logs
• Ability to make immediate decisions under pressure
• High level of discretion when handling confidential information
• Physical ability to walk 18-20 km and climb stairs
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• First Aid & CPR Level C certification
