Purpose of position
To provide support services for airport day-to-day operations ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain radio communication with flight crews and ground personnel.
- Receive and relay information between flight crews, ramp, sales, commissary and maintenance personnel.
- Plot gate assignments on Gate Management System and plan/coordinate aircraft towing in accordance with gating restrictions to ensure safe movement of aircraft, personnel and passengers.
- Monitor forecasts and routing changes, forecast all changes in arrival/departure times, notify appropriate personnel and update FIDS/FMIS screens accordingly.
- Investigate delays and code them in the appropriate Airport Operations systems.
- Assist in other related duties as instructed by shift manager/supervisor.
- Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in working with multi computer screen system.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
- Excellent multitasking and decision-making skills.
- Must obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification ID pass (to be obtained upon employment).
- Willing and able to work varying shifts.
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer workstation.
- English language fluency or working knowledge.
Note: Bilingualism (English and French) is required to work in Montreal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Degree.
- Restricted Radio Operator Certificate.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience in the airline industry.
- Experience using the ALTEA reservation system.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

About Jazz Aviation LP
Jazz has a strong history in Canadian aviation with its roots going back to the 1930s. We operate more flights and fly to more Canadian destinations than any other carrier. We are the only airline serving 10 provinces and 2 territories. As an integral part of Air Canada’s strategy and North American market presence, Jazz provides service to and from many smaller communities in Canada and the United States under the brand name Air Canada Express. As well, we operate to larger centres at off-peak times as a complement to Air Canada’s schedule.
Jazz is not a typical airline. We have a commercial agreement with Air Canada that is the core of our business. Under the Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA), Air Canada purchases substantially all of Jazz’s seat capacity based on predetermined rates. In reality, we are a contract carrier for Air Canada and operate our flights on their behalf. The CPA provides commercial flexibility and connecting network traffic to Air Canada, while significantly reducing Jazz’s financial and business risks.
Our fleet consists of Embraer, CRJ, and Dash 8-400 aircraft. Our CRJ900 aircraft are equipped with in-seat personal entertainment systems, enabling you to choose from a wide selection of television shows, movies and satellite radio channels to make your flight experience with Jazz more enjoyable.
