Sales Enablement Manager
Wärtsilä Port Optimisations provides digital solutions that help ports and terminal operators improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability through data‑driven decision‑making. Our solutions support real‑time visibility, performance optimisation, and collaboration across port ecosystems, enabling customers to optimize vessel traffic, terminal operations, and end‑to‑end port performance.
As Port Optimisations continues to expand its portfolio of digital solutions and customer projects, our commercial activities are growing in both complexity and scale. To support this continued growth and future project development, we are creating a new, stand‑alone Sales Enablement Manager role.
This is a hands‑on, individual contributor position that reports to the Head of Global Bids & Sales Enablement (GLOBAL BIDS & ENABLEMENT CAN) and works closely with senior stakeholders to define, build, and own sales enablement efforts end to end. The role supports complex, enterprise‑level opportunities across global ports and terminals.
Responsibilities

Lead development of high-quality proposal responses when required, including coordination with SMEs and consolidation of inputs

Create and maintain a centralized library of approved content (modules, architecture, case studies, boilerplate responses)

Continuously improve and standardize sales and delivery materials to reduce turnaround time and increase quality

Support development of presentations, demos, and customer-facing materials aligned to target opportunities
-
Ensure consistency and alignment across all outputs (no duplication, conflicting messaging, or gaps)
-
Translate technical and operational concepts into clear, customer-focused messaging
-
Support commercial positioning by structuring content around value, differentiators, and outcomes
-
Work closely with sales and delivery teams to capture lessons learned and feed them back into templates and content

Proactively identify gaps in existing materials and take ownership to resolve them
-
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently, with minimal oversight
Requirements:
Experience
- 5–10 years in sales enablement, bid/proposal management, product marketing, or similar role
- Proven experience responding to RFPs/RFQs and coordinating inputs across technical and commercial teams
- Experience working with complex, technical solutions (software, SaaS, or enterprise systems)
- Background in maritime, logistics, or similarly complex operational environments is an asset
Tools & Technology
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Experience with collaboration and content management tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Confluence or similar)
- Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate content creation, improve quality, and standardize outputs
- Experience with proposal management tools is an asset
Commercial & Strategic Understanding
- Solid understanding of how proposals tie to sales strategy and revenue generation
- Ability to structure content around value propositions, differentiators, and customer outcomes
- Awareness of SaaS/commercial models and how to position them in proposals
