About the role

Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Women's drop-in centre. Shelter for the homeless. Tasks: Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Resolve conflict situations. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. May work in a team with shared supervisory responsibilities. Train workers in duties and policies. Supervise in-house laundry services. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Oversee analysis of data and information and prepare reports. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Assist in supervising personnel who prepare and serve food. Supervisory Experience. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Develop prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs. Manage incidents. Set staff work schedules. Participate in staff meetings. Inspect processes. Engage in community program development. Coordinate the flow of information within the team. Supervision: 3-4 people. Counselling specialization: Crisis intervention. Area of specialization: Community services. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Client focus. Flexibility. Initiative. Team player. Organized. Reliability. Ability to multitask. Collaborative. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Do you have experience working in this field?. Experience: 5 years or more. Employment terms options: Night. Weekend.
