In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and setting up group benefit plans in BMS for both new and existing clients, ensuring accuracy and alignment with plan requirements. You will also take ownership of creating and maintaining all plan documentation, including Plan Sponsor contracts and Plan Member booklets. Additionally, you will support the development and upkeep of process documentation in collaboration with Senior Set Up Specialists and the Manager, contributing to consistent and efficient operational practices.

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement, and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

What you’ll do:

  • Accurate and timely implementation of new policyholders with Equitable (system set up and plan documents); and
  • Accurate and timely support of plan changes (system and document updates).
  • Responsible for auditing standard implementation of new policyolders with Equitable and plan changes (system setup and plan documents) and providing timely feedback as required.
  • Testing to support any system changes that impact plan set up as well as regression testing support for other changes as required.
  • Initial entry and required updates to Telus system (Tandem) to support accurate claims payment for plan member pay direct drug claims submitted at the pharmacy

  • College or University degree or working equivalent;
  • Group benefits knowledge and experience;
  • Communications skills;
  • Customer service skills;
  • Team player;
  • Ability to multi-task while juggling conflicting priorities;
  • Comfort and confidence working in an ever-changing and always challenging environment;
  • Interest in continuous learning; and
  • Working knowledge of Windows, WORD and Excel
