We currently have an opening for a full-time permanent Stores Helper/Driver position.

Reporting to the materials department crew lead, as a Stores Helper/Driver at Conair, you move inventory and the appropriate paperwork between the numerous stocking locations, overhaul shops and production floors. In addition, you stock the inventory in the appropriate location and build kits for work in process. All duties are performed in accordance with Conair’s safety philosophy, policies as well as airside regulations.

In this role your duties will include the following

Deliver and pick up goods and inventory from stores locations and overhaul shops; Build kits for stock or work order allocation following a Bill of Materials (B.O.M.); Stock goods; in stores locations, the production floor roto bins and parts cabinets; Assist with regular inventory counts, cycle counts; Issue parts, tools, and materials over the Stores counter; Ensure all products that are covered by WHMIS are handled and controlled as outlined in the WHMIS handbook; Ensure all Supply Chain storage areas opened, are secured before leaving the area; We are looking for someone with: Elementary knowledge of aircraft parts, tools, equipment and supplies; Elementary knowledge of policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the stores department; Must be familiar with equipment used for the control of inventory, e.g. computer, Bar-coding; Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal; Must be familiar with hazardous spills response/reporting procedure and WHIMIS rules and regulations; Ability to lift and carry parts and equipment up to 50lbs (23kg). Ability to work shifts as the need arises; Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner and participated in a team environment; Ability to operate a forklift.

Training/Education

Hold a valid class 5 or higher BC Driver’s License; Experience operating a delivery style van safely including backing up and changing lanes with external mirrors; Extensive experience operating forklifts; Experience or training in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Experience properly securing loads preferred.
