Code Solutions That Power Real Business Outcomes

As a Programmer Analyst – Level 1, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise applications that power key business operations. You’ll collaborate in a project and support environment with IT team members and business partners to translate business requirements into effective system solutions. Led by the Manager, IT Business Solutions, this opportunity suits a curious problem-solver with a passion for coding, troubleshooting, and building real-world applications.

Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how:

  • Coding modules that are easy to medium complexity.
  • Proficiency in at least one development language.
  • Creating and executing unit tests cases along with capturing/presenting results.
  • Investigating, resolving issues/defects found during development, testing, or production.
  • Coordinating and being part of deployment activities including system documentation.
  • Developing time estimates for own work.
  • Working outside traditional hours as required. May be part of off-hours pager support group to support production applications.
  • Understanding and following standards and processes and making suggestions for improvement.

We’re looking for:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or similar, with 2 years’ experience in application development and support.
  • Understanding of ITIL or software development best practices and processes.
  • Hands-on experience coding in Python and knowledge of SQL, PowerBI and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with waterfall and agile scrum project methodologies.
  • Knowledge of relational database and data modelling concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities as well as strong organizational ability.
  • Results orientated with high levels of initiative, flexibility, and adaptability, while work independently or within a team.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
