We are a market leader in oil and gas processing specializing in facilities design, implementation and operational assistance for natural gas, conventional, heavy oil and carbon capture projects. Our clients include several of the largest oil & gas producers in Canada and worldwide, and we are currently executing a wide range of sweet gas, sour gas, conventional oil, heavy oil, carbon capture facility and pipeline projects.
Summary:
The Pipeline Design Lead (Above Ground Pipelines) is responsible for the preparation, coordination and delivery of all process, piping and mechanical deliverables in the Drafting and Design Department for Above Ground Pipeline projects. These include General Arrangements, Alignment Sheets, Plan and Profile drawings, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Plot Plans, Isometrics and associated 3D models.
Key Responsibilities

Coordination of piping design and drafting activities for above ground pipeline projects.

Input on schedules, man hour estimates and scope of work documents.

Monitoring of project deliverables to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget.

Review of drawings and designs for accuracy, completeness and consistency.

Provide direction, guidance and training to the design team on standards and procedures.

Prepare 3D models using Hexagon CADWorx and Bentley AutoPLANT 3D software.

Lead internal and external 30/60/90 model reviews, participate in client meetings.

Prepare design drawings such Alignment Sheets, Plan and Profile drawings, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Plot Plans, General Arrangements, Isometrics and MTOs.

Attend regular meetings with the Project Management Team.

Support and development of global workshare initiatives.
Key Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Design layout of Pipeline systems and associated facilities.
- Leadership, mentorship and coordination of design personnel
- Must have above ground pipeline design experience.
- Must have experience with design layout of pipeline systems and associated facilities.
- Must have experience with pipeline planning and route selection.
- Must have a strong survey background.
Education and Qualifications:

Must have Above Ground Pipeline experience

Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma

10+ years’ of EPCM experience.
