Our salaries are approximately $60,000 - $80,000 CDN a year plus - return airfare, medical coverage, living allowance (2200 RMB per month), technology stipend, free on campus food, pro-d stipend, generous preparation time, re-signing bonus, abundant holiday time and free teacher's children tuition. Very accessible to both Shanghai, and Suzhou but far enough away for a very low cost of living near the school. Rents are typically around 2000 to 2500 RMB ($400-500 cn) per month and the school is in a smaller community with all necessary amenities that include Starbucks, Fresh Markets, Supermarkets and many great restaurants.
Our teachers also enjoy the generous benefits that Sino Canada brings in terms of work/life balance, and our compensation/benefits package. The list below highlights the differences between our contract, and some other Offshore School contracts:
- A Calendar with generous holidays (Christmas, Chinese New Year, Summer, and other smaller holidays in October and May. 185 Working Days schedule.
- On Friday classes are dismissed at 11:30 am , this allows boarding students to get an early start home for the weekend and gives teachers valuable prep and collaboration time together.
- Many shared leadership positions available which allows for unique opportunities to gain experience and advance your career.
- Well-resourced school , with accessible budgets controlled by BC program.
- Highly competitive salary range ( $60,000-$80,000 CAD based on experience and degrees e.g. Master degree).Plus additional benefits listed below.
- Re-signing bonus of 8000 rmb after successfully completing 2 years and returning for a third, and 10000 rmb after 3 years.
- Travel Allowance Air Travel to China - 10000 rmb/year for travel anywhere.
- Paid International Medical coverage.
- Living allowance - 2200 rmb/mo.
- Free meals at school - 600 rmb/mo.
- Technology allowance - 3000 rmb- can cover your cell and home internet plan or be used for hardware as well.
- Professional development budget available to each teacher - 1000 rmb/year.
- Free weekly bus to and from all major cities near the school (Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou).
- Great facilities on site: Swimming pool , free school workout facilities.
- Free tuition for teacher's children. 100% for 1st child and 80% coverage for additional children.
