INTERNATIONAL STUDENT RECRUITMENT OFFICER (BAND LEVEL 9) Office of Student Recruitment
Grenfell Campus
(Contractual Position to August 28, 2026)
The University will consider applications from qualified permanent staff who may be interested in a secondment, subject to departmental approval DUTIES The International Student Recruitment Officer will be responsible for carrying out the institution's international recruitment activities aimed at attracting undergraduate students to Memorial University of Newfoundland, with a focus on Grenfell Campus, located in Corner Brook, NL. Duties include preparing and presenting information sessions about the University to international audiences at high schools, career days, education fairs, and post-secondary institutions, and online; identifying and liaising with educational agents; conducting research on target countries and audiences; compiling market research; assisting in the development of promotional materials; identifying strategies for international recruitment initiatives and assisting in their implementation; answering prospective student inquiries; and performing other related duties as required. This position requires extensive international travel and occasional heavy lifting.
Qualifications Experience (3-5 years) in a student recruitment environment with an emphasis on international marketing or communications; graduation with a degree from a four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, international studies, or a related field is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. Experience in cross-cultural issues and knowledge of Memorial's post-secondary education and programs are essential. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational, planning, and leadership skills along with outstanding interpersonal and public speaking skills. The successful applicant must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license and be eligible to hold a valid passport and legally cross international borders. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages and knowledge of Canada's international student entry policies are considered assets.
SALARY $67,414 - $91,929 per annum (Management and Professional)
