About the role

Are you a skilled tradesperson with an eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? Caivan is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team and help ensure our homeowners receive timely, high-quality repairs and follow-up service. In this role, you’ll complete minor repairs, oversee trade work, and collaborate closely with our Service Team to resolve deficiencies efficiently helping us uphold Caivan’s commitment to quality and homeowner satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to scheduled service appointments (Initial, 6-Month, 1-Year, 2-Year, and internal) to address and complete deficiencies.
  • Perform repairs in areas such as drywall, trim, paint, tile, and other finishes.
  • Oversee and monitor trades on-site to ensure timely, quality work.
  • Communicate updates to the Service Coordinator after each appointment and follow up until issues are resolved.
  • Participate in monthly service meetings to review calls, work orders, and progress updates.
  • Support the Model Home Maintenance Program by completing repairs, coordinating with sales, and checking the quality of trade work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in carpentry and finishing repairs.
  • Proficiency in multiple trades (e.g., carpentry, drywall, painting) and use of related tools and equipment.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, or computers to record and track work.
  • Certifications in Working at Heights, WHMIS, and First Aid (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Flexibility to work on various projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle.
  • Own hand tools and drills.
