Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for an Estimator, based in Greater Victoria with the flexibility to perform some work from home. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for metal roofing, siding, and custom steel products. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing project requirements, consulting with customers and team members, preparing quotations, and maintaining detailed project records. The role requires effective communication with clients while ensuring timelines and accuracy are met.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in analyzing project blueprints, specifications, and requirements for accurate estimating
• Experience with preparing detailed cost analyses and quotations for construction or fabrication projects
• Strong communication and customer service skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively
• Organizational skills to manage multiple project timelines and ensure accuracy in record-keeping
• Proficiency with relevant software and spreadsheets for estimation and documentation
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, construction materials, or building systems is an asset
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment with minimal supervision
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
