W.A. Day Elementary School in Fort Macleod, Alberta is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta!

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • builds strong rapport with students and creates a safe and caring learning environment;
  • Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula.
  • provides an engaging environment for students from a variety of backgrounds;
  • works collaboratively as part of an instructional team utilizing flexible groupings within and between classes;
  • has a passion for working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including First Nations Metis and Inuit students;
  • is an excellent written and verbal communicator;
  • is well organized and has the ability to deliver a variety of courses to individual students;
  • Has a strong understanding of the Leader in Me paradigms and practices
  • An understanding of multi-age philosophy would be an asset

The successful candidate will possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position will commence on April 13, 2026 and will end on June 26, 2026.
