The typical salary range for this position is $78 880.00 - $103 530.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for working with store management in the assigned district to ensure Company standards and processes for both the grocery and bakery departments are being achieved. This position will identify and correct operational weakness such as shrink, margins, labor controls.
Travel (including overnight travel) is required. The region of Food Basics Stores this position will oversee is Kitchener Waterloo, Hamilton, Brampton, Guelph, Peel, and Halton.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor grocery/bakery shrink and work with stores on meeting their budgeted goals by executing merchandising plans and operating standards.
- Provide support to stores in ordering merchandising and inventory management.
- Develop and support sales objective activities.
- Supervise the set up of grocery /bakery departments in new locations.
- Ensure store management complies with Sanitation Standards for grocery/bakery departments.
- Look for opportunities to improve sales and profit in individual stores.
- Train store management on proper ordering and filling practices as per operations manual and provide recommendations/feedback on performance.
- Constantly reviews product line ups and keeps current on customer needs and competitive activity in different markets.
- Work with store management to develop and improve store employees skills including customer services.
- Addresses customer inquiries or complaints as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College diploma or University Degree
- 5 -7 years relevant experience specifically Grocery or Bakery
- Strong understanding of merchandising, planograms, store layouts, and various union agreements.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to correct shrink.
- Valid drivers license
