About the role

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This post is Monday-Friday, 37 hours, rotational 08:00 -16:00 and 09:00-17:00 – office-based

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rota Administrator post within the General Medicine Team at QEUH working closely with the clinical and non-clinical management teams and medical staff. The post holder will be responsible for the administration of the weekly medical rotas for FY1, Middle Tier and Senior Doctors using a variety of software. The post holder will also collate information/data for the Service, providing reports on a daily basis, updating and managing the absences databases, supporting induction, booking locum doctors, supporting the service with HR related queries and much more.

The post holder requires an in depth knowledge of a range of administrative and secretarial practices and must be able to operate independently. Experience is required in workload management and problem solving across the work area. The post holders should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to set up documents and maintain and update database/spreadsheet/SharePoint. In house training will be provided.
