About the role
This is a union position located at our Cambridge Material Recycling Facility.
Starting Wage: $30.68/hr.
Day Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Afternoon Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Shift: Mondays – Fridays, overtime based on business needs

I. Job Summary
Operates and tends machine that compresses and binds paper, cloth, or other loose materials.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

Trucks or carries materials to baling machine.

Places materials in compression chamber of baling machine.

Moves lever or electric switch, causing ram to compress material.

Threads tie bands around bale and twists or clamps ends of bands to tighten bands.

Opens compression chamber doors and removes bale from machine.

Trucks bales to storage place, weighs bales, and records weight.

Lines compression chamber of baling machine with paper, burlap, or other covering before baling.

Sews or ties wrapping in place after baling, and stencils bales.

This job has no supervisory duties.

The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $30.68 . This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
