Prime Hires is searching for aRecruiterfor our VMS Temporary Staffing Division in Markham.
TheRecruiteris responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and qualifying candidates to support the successful placement of entry-level and intermediate administrative roles for our clients. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to candidate experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop, post, and manage job advertisements across internal and external platforms.
- Conduct targeted searches using the internal database and online recruitment tools to build strong longlists of potential candidates.
- Conduct phone screens and schedule structured interviews (in-person or virtual).
- Lead structured interviews while ensuring adherence to labour standards and non-discrimination practices.
- Evaluate candidates’ skills, attributes, and suitability using a variety of assessment techniques.
- Prepare detailed candidate summaries outlining strengths, development areas, interests, and career objectives.
- Create, manage, and maintain active talent pools within the ATS.
- Present qualified candidates to the Account Manager for review and client submission.
- Prepare and coach candidates ahead of client interviews and complete timely post interview follow-ups.
- Follow up with Account Managers regarding candidate status to ensure ongoing communication and clarity.
- Conduct reference checks with accuracy and professionalism.
- Support various recruitment projects as needed.
- Prepare and validate paperwork required for criminal or credit background checks.
- Respond to candidate inquiries promptly and professionally.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in high-volume recruitment, ideally within a VMS supported environment.
- Experience using Bullhorn is considered a strong asset.
- Comfortable with MS Office, Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Strong organizational, planning, thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Positive, resilient, creative, and solution-focused mindset.
- Bilingual in French & English is considered an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or post-secondary education is an asset.
