Key Responsibilities:
-
Maintain organization of bins & equipment.
-
Keep warehouse, Yard and adjacent street areas clean.
-
Prepare equipment for customer deliveries.
-
Assist off-loading of deliveries.
-
Assist loading of Cube Vans for deliveries.
-
Clean and power-wash totes, containers & compactors to ensure they’re presentable for reuse.
-
Organize equipment & supplies storage areas; notify Supervisor of material/equipment shortages.
-
Repair totes using cordless drill.
-
Perform other tasks as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements:

Must be able to stand for extended periods,
-
Some heavy lifting required (up to ~50 lbs)

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow direction from supervisors.

Prior warehouse or construction environment experience (~1 year) is preferred (an asset).

Strong team-oriented attitude; adapt quickly to change; take pride in quality of work; communicate effectively; safety-first mindset.

Respectful and reliable team member ready to assist across tasks.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, materials-handling, or construction environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize safety, collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to stay organized and focused.
- Proactive and eager to take ownership of the role, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
- Genuine interest in environmental sustainability and motivated to contribute to a company committed to community and environmental impact.

Urban Impact was launched as the first multi-material recycling company in Metro Vancouver. We're a family-owned business with a fresh, innovative approach to the management of waste and recycling. For more than 20 years, we've been servicing most key industrial and commercial and government sectors. Work with us to streamline waste, set diversion targets and manage your recycling.
Today, Urban Impact's team of over 100 employees and a fleet of 35 recycling trucks provide a wide range of recycling, secure paper shredding, and waste audit services. We've made significant investments in creating two large, modern Materials Recovery Facilities. Urban Impact services 5,500 locations, from Whistler to Chilliwack.
We are proud that Urban Impact collected and diverted 100,000 Metric Tonnes of recyclable materials from local landfills in 2011. Our employees are our biggest assets; we are proud that Urban Impact was named one of the Top Employers in British Columbia by BC Business magazine.
