About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of translation and localization projects, ensuring seamless delivery that meets customer expectations for quality, turnaround time, and budget. Working closely with clients , linguists , production teams, and internal stakeholders, the Project Manager ensures operational efficiency , risk mitigation, and financial performance while contributing to continuous improvement across workflows and service delivery .

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end delivery of translation and localization projects, including scheduling, risk management, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients , ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and exceptional customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare project quotes, maintain budget accuracy, and track margins to ensure financial performance .
  • Oversee quality assurance activities, including QA checks, incident tracking, and CAPA coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, SOPs, documentation standards, and data quality requirements.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and support continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancements, tooling optimizations, and automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with account managers, technical teams, and operations leads to ensure accurate scoping, seamless execution, and successful onboarding of new projects.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, best‑practice adoption, and cross‑functional collaboration within the production team.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Experience managing projects within translation, localization, or related content workflows: at least 5 years of experience.
  • Prior experience with client communications, multi‑stakeholder coordination, or cross‑functional operations. Exposure to workflows of varying complexity—from straightforward translation tasks to multi‑language, multi‑channel content programs.

Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Field: Project Management, Business, Marketing, Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field

Language:

  • English and French [Mandatory] Additional Languages are a Plus

Job Specific Skills:

  • Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑relationship skills, with the ability to manage expectations and resolve issues effectively.
  • Ability to analyze data, manage project financials, and maintain high standards of documentation.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with a solutions‑oriented and detail‑focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within distributed, multicultural teams.
  • Solid understanding of translation/localization workflows and multilingual content processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Strong organizational discipline and commitment to operational excellence.

IT Skills:

  • Proficiency with CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) and machine translation environments.
  • Strong command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and communication.
  • Familiarity with localization/production systems, project management platforms, and vendor management tools.
  • Comfortable using technology-driven workflows and adopting new tools or systems as needed.
